“Hi Liz! We are on our way back from the Mara and had a fabulous time. We even ended up in the tents with the tubs! Though there was a hot water issue for the tub that was addressed on the last night.
The accommodations were overall excellent however.
Tony was great!
Thanks so much for facilitating everything."

SAFARI ACTIVITIES
ADVENTURE
WILDLIFE
CULTURE
Adventure
Climb a mountain. Hike a trail. Soar over the savannah in a hot air balloon at sunrise, or feel the rush of a zip line through the canopy. However you want to meet Africa, we get you close — really close — for the kind of moment you'll tell people about for years.

Wildlife
No visit to Africa is complete without meeting its wildlife. The plains offer constant surprises — herds of antelope, gazelle, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and topi grazing against the horizon, while lions and cheetah patrol the grasslands and the elusive leopard watches from the trees. The birdlife is every bit as captivating.
Then there are Uganda's endangered mountain gorillas — striking not just for their scale, but for how familiar their gestures and expressions feel. Coming face to face with these gentle giants in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, in western Uganda, is a moment you'll carry with you long after you've left.
Culture
There's something about African culture that's impossible to put your finger on — a warmth, an energy, that just pulls you in. Maybe it's the magic of the sunrises, the sunsets, the sundowners. Maybe it's the people. In Kenya, you'll find the Maasai, famed for the adumu — their striking jumping dance, performed with a height and grace that seems to defy gravity.
In Uganda, the Batwa, are among the region's original forest dwellers, having lived in the forests of Bwindi and Mgahinga for generations before the areas were designated national parks and gazetted for gorilla conservation. Today, many Batwa share their traditions, songs, and stories with visitors through community-run cultural experiences — a chance to learn about a way of life shaped by the forest, and to support the community directly through tourism. They are some of the most welcoming people you'll meet, and don't be surprised if you find yourself pulled into a dance the moment the drumming starts.

Game Drives
Game drives are one of the best ways to take in Africa's savannah and the wildlife that calls it home. It had been raining for days, so we weren't sure what to expect on this particular morning — but the sun broke through in full force. This video captures a highlight from that drive: a morning we won't forget, and one you could have too.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
-
Are safari tents comfortable?
-
Absolutely. Safari tents are designed for genuine comfort while keeping you close to nature.
-
Mid-range camps typically feature spacious tents with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, flushing toilets, and hot or cold running water. Many also include electricity, charging points, a seating area, and a private veranda to relax and take in the surrounding wilderness.

2. it safe to go on safari? -
Yes — safety is a top priority, and safaris are conducted by experienced guides who know the terrain, wildlife behavior, and how to keep you at a safe distance while still getting an incredible view.
-
Camps and lodges are set up with wildlife safety in mind, and staff will always brief you on what to do (and what not to do) during your stay.
-
While wild animals are unpredictable by nature, incidents are rare when you follow your guide's instructions.
3. What DO I pack for a safari? -
Neutral-colored clothing (khaki, olive, tan) works best — avoid bright colors and pure white or black, which can attract insects or stand out to animals.
-
Essentials include a light jacket for cool mornings and evenings, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and binoculars.
-
Most camps offer laundry service, so you can pack lighter than you'd expect.
4. Will I definitely see the "Big Five"? -
Sightings can never be 100% guaranteed — these are wild animals in their natural habitat, not a zoo.
-
That said, experienced guides significantly increase your chances by tracking movement patterns, communicating with other guides, and knowing the best times and locations for sightings.
-
Multi-day itineraries and multiple parks (rather than a single day trip) also improve your odds considerably.
